Numerical mathematics (WI2023)
This is an introductory course in numerical analysis, which
assumes the knowledge of interpolation and quadrature as these
are part of the analysis course.
The subjects are:
- Numerical methods for ordinary first and higher order
differential equations and systems of ordinary differential
equations.
- Numerical solution of systems of linear equations. Application
to boundary value problems and least squares fits.
- Eigenvalue problems. Application to vibration and buckling.
