Practitioners' Seminar in Financial Engineering
The Practitioners' Seminar is coordinated by
Nestor Parolya
together with
Antonis Papapantoleon
at TU Delft.
It brings practitioners from the financial industry, including banks, hedge funds and market makers, into direct interaction with students in the
Finance Minor
and the MSc Financial Engineering track in Applied Mathematics.
The seminar is designed as a structured form of practitioner engagement closely linked to education. Industry speakers deliver short and extended lectures and contribute to challenge based sessions built around realistic cases from practice.
The seminar creates an ongoing connection between TU Delft education and professional practice. It is an important part of the long term vision for the minor and the MSc Financial Engineering track: not as an add on, but as a structural component that shows students how advanced quantitative methods are applied in practice while keeping external partners actively connected to the programme.
